For my birthday I got three extension tubes for my camera. I wanted to get some, because I absolutely love taking Macro photos and so I figured that extension tubes would be the next logical step to take. I got three, so that I can stack them up between the camera and my lens or use an individual one. For my first tries I decided to use a single one and it’s really amazing how much closer you can get this way. But what I really realized is that you must use a tripod or monopod when using extension tubes. I normally do most of my shoting hand-held, especially in our garden, since it would take me ages to set the tripod up just the right way for a macro shot. With the extension tubes, I’ll have to invest in a real tripod (I got the last one as a special offer for ten bucks). Still undecided about which one to get, though.
